The Delaware Botanic Gardens is an ADA-compliant site. The gardens feature wide paths and sidewalks, ramp accessible decks, large doors at the Welcome Center, and an ADA-compliant restroom.

The parking lot includes spaces reserved for persons with disabilities as well as a passenger drop-off area near the Welcome Center.

Golf Cart Rentals

  • Golf carts may be pre-booked below for Thursday or Friday at 11:30 AM or 2:00 PM for guests with mobility difficulties and their family members to enhance the visitor experience. We highly recommend 7 days advance notice of your visit to reserve a cart and driver. 

  • On Saturday and Sunday, golf carts are not available for reservations but you may call the Gardens before 10 AM to see if a golf cart is available. We cannot guarantee golf carts and drivers will be available on the weekends. The weekend site manager will make the final decision if a cart and driver can be made available. 

  • Once you have confirmed a golf cart is available and your reservation has been confirmed, please check-in at the Welcome Center at the agreed date and time. You will be asked to sign a liability waiver, then be shown the gardens by a DBG volunteer or staff member. 

  • We do not offer self-drive golf carts. 

  • The cost to reserve a golf cart is $15 per cart in addition to the normal admission fee. The golf cart can accommodate 3 guests plus the DBG staff/volunteer driver and will be available for 1-hour.
