Delaware Botanic Gardens Deputy Executive Director, Stephen Pryce Lea, is offering 6 tours aligned with the seasons of the gardens. The following tours are available this year:

• 5/31 – Late Spring Meadow Tour 2 pm – Enjoy the delights of a late Spring wild-flower meadow with DBG’s Director of Horticulture, learn how to balance a native garden with essential pollinator plants for Spring wildlife.

• 6/28 – Early Summer Meadow Tour 2 pm – Spring into Summer with a leisurely stroll through DBG’s designer meadow, focusing on the benefits of growing native plants and the pollinators they attract.

• 7/26 – Summer Meadow Blooms and Pollinators Tour 11:30 am – Enjoy the scent of a summer meadow, and enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of DBG’s 2-acre meadow with a sensory tour of Piet Oudolf’s Meadow. Start time 11:30 AM.

• 8/30 – Late Summer Meadow Tour 11:30 am – Meander through Delaware Botanic Gardens Meadow with an international plantsman and Director of Horticulture, observe plants as they share seeds, and learn how to collect and preserve seeds from your own garden plants. Start time 11:30 AM.

• 10/11, 10/25 – Fall Gardening for Wildlife Meadow Tour 2 pm – Join Stephen Pryce Lea for a return of this sold-out tour of Piet Oudolf Meadow discussing garden maintenance and featured plants essential for providing wildlife with a food source, and habitat for the 5th season.

Please note July and August's tours start at 11:30 am all other tours are 2 pm start times.
